About Strokes
A stroke is a "brain attack" and is the leading cause of disability in the United States. Consider a stroke an emergency, just as if you suspected someone was having a heart attack. When the warning signs of stroke appear, call 911 immediately.
Together with the Greater Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky Stroke Team, The Center for Neurovascular Disease at The Neuroscience Institute provides a comprehensive center for stroke prevention and treatment of transient ischemic attacks (TIAs), and ischemic stroke. Our internationally renowned faculty is also involved in stroke research and stroke education.
